New for the 2023 season and following on the success of the John Hauser's 24-hour fundraising ski last season, Kawartha Nordic will be hosting an 8-hour Ski Relay on January 22. This event will be a team relay and fundraiser. Proceeds will go to the Canadian Mental Health association Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge, supporting their efforts to house those in need in our region.

Families, businesses, teams, and skiers of all levels are encouraged to participate. Expect a day of fun with activities alongside the relay, while giving back to our community.

Registration is completed on both Zone4 and CanadaHelps

Event Schedule:

• 10 AM Opening with Drumming by local First Nations
• 10 AM - 3 PM Outdoor Games
• 11 AM - 2 PM Maple tafffy "la tire"
• 1 PM - 3 PM Chili from Ashburnham Ale House
• 5:09 Sunset, bring a headlamp for skiing after sunset
• 6 PM Closing
