Welcome to our season-long quest! This challenge is designed for our members and frequent trail users to foster a deeper connection with our community, our history, and the beautiful landscape we call home.  

We don’t expect you to find everything in one afternoon—think of this as a winter-long adventure. Whether you are a scholar of club history, a nature enthusiast, or a high-energy trailblazer, there is something here for everyone to discover over the coming months.

How to Play: As an individual or as a family/team. To track your progress, complete this Google Form. Each time you find an answer or snap a photo, simply log it into the form. As long as you use the same email address each time, you can return to the form throughout the season to add new findings and update your score. This isn't just about the points—it's about exploring the corners of the club you might usually ski past and celebrating what makes Kawartha Nordic special.

 
Points are awarded arbitrarily according to difficulty and ones that we'd like to encourage you to answer. 

If you'd prefer to print off your own copy, download the PDF. But note: prizes will be awarded throughout the season for person or group that's on top of the leaderboard, so don't hesitate to get your answers logged. 

First Prize is an individual membership* for the 2026/2027 season!!! How's that for incentive?!? 

*The Fine Print:

• Mandatory Fees: The winner is responsible for the payment of mandatory insurance and governing body fees (Southern Ontario District, Cross Country Ski Ontario, and Nordiq Canada) and the KNSC Capital Fund Levy. (Total combined cost approx. $52). 

• Non-Transferable: This prize is for the winner only and has no cash value.

• Skill-Testing Requirement: To be declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.

• Claim Deadline: The prize must be activated by December 31, 2026.
