KNSC is hosting its 7th annual Ski Enduro & Cookie Race on Sunday, Feb 22, 2015. For some it's a fun, friendly competition and for others it's a fun, fitness challenge. Come on out and test yourself on the beautiful trails at Kawartha Nordic. Great prizes available!
Race lengths are 2.5, 8, 16 or 32km with options for solo racers, 2-person teams or 4-person teams. The 2.5km option is open to children 9 to 12 years-old only. The 8, 16, and 32km options are open categories. Each team member must ski a minimum of one 8km lap. For example, a solo racer could ski any of the three race distances. A 2-person team could ski either the 16km or the 32km race, with each team member skiing either 8km or 16km respectively. A 4-person team will ski the 32km race, with each team member skiing 8km.
Teams can be co-ed and there is no age restriction other than the 2.5km race (which is only open to 9 to 12 year-olds). All other skiers must be prepared to successfully complete a 8km ski loop. The course will be groomed for skate and classic skiers. There will be a mass start for each of the races.
The first race will begin at 11:00am, after a racer's meeting at 10:45am, with race start intervals of 5 minutes. More information about an individual's or a team's race start time will be provided after registration.
The course is on mostly rolling terrain with a couple of longer hill climbs.
The Kawartha Nordic 7th annual Ski Enduro is a fun race with a individual or team option. Cost is $25 for KNSC members and $35 for non-members. You can register all your team members on one credit card or individually. Race day registration is $5 extra per skier.

Online Registration will close Friday, Feb 20 2015 at 11:59pm. Race day registration will be available from 9-10am on Sunday Feb 22 2015 in the WOODfine Chalet.
